For those registered to do the Centennial BRM200 Ride on September 11-30, you are expected to have gone through the following information provided by now:
Why we are doing the Centennial BRM200 this month
There are also around 10 articles in the News Section about the Centennial Ride. Please read. I know we sound like a broken record but there are still so many questions being asked and these could be easily answered by any of the articles posted.
PROOF OF RIDE:
1) Online platforms like Strava, Garmin, etc. as long as it shows the following information: Date of Ride, Distance, Route and Elapsed Time (NOT moving time!). The goal is to have an elapsed time of less than 13.5hours. Elapsed time means moving time plus all incidental events (ex. mechanical issues, rest stops, refuelling stops, etc.). You need to submit the following screenshots showing all these information to mailer.audax@gmail.com or to the FaceBook page of Audax Randonneurs Philippines. Sample proof of ride below:

2) For those who don't use cyclocomputers that connects to an online platform, your ride will still count! RESPONSIBLE CYCLING in the TIME of COVID
No big groups (keep it to 5 or less). Prepare the provincial requirements of the location you chose (could be negative Covid19 test results, vaccination cards, S-Pass, etc.). Choose a day or time where there won't be any big groups of cyclists on the roads (weekdays, other weekends aside from Sept 11-12). Don't mingle with other groups. Know when to be flexible. Use common sense.
Just like what we always tell everyone, in any endurance event even before the pandemic, there are risks. Even our usual weekend recreational rides have risks. What we can do as athletes is manage these risks and decide accordingly. The Audax will always be here. If you are worried or not 100% comfortable to do these rides, you can always request for refund of your registration fees. Last day of 50% registration refund is on September 10.
Event or no event, we should be responsible cyclists during this time. What we do as cyclists reflect heavily on the entire cycling community. Cycling is booming in the world and with that, a lot of eyes are on us. Let's show the world that the Filipino randonneur can partake on this Centennial Ride with discipline and social responsibility.
