The participants yesterday experienced rain, extreme heat and headwinds over technical climbs and descents.  We were informed of a few minor bike spills but thankfully, none needed medical intervention.  While Audax Baler remains to be a tough ride, we witnessed a lot of steadfast cycling over the weekend.  For most, it was a bonding moment amongst teams and friends.  For some, it was a good training weekend for bigger rides ahead.  For some, it was their revenge ride and we are truly happy for them.  You are testaments that when things initially don't go according to plan, all we have to do is to slow down and come back stronger.  Thank you for showing us just that.

Thank you to the Province of Aurora, the municipalities of Baler, Dipaculao and Casiguran for allowing us to stage the 4th edition of Audax Baler this year.  Thank you to our host hotel, Costa Pacifica.  Thank you to our ever-present corporate sponsor in all of the Audax rides since 2010, David's Salon Inc and its crew who worked tirelessly over the weekend.  Last and definitely not the least, our heartfelt thanks to those who showed up at the starting line of the most challenging 200km rides in the country. Keep inspiring and we hope to see you in the next Audax rides!
