The New Sponsor and the new 2020 Audax Calendar

It is my pleasure to introduce the new sponsor who will be supporting the Audax rides for the 2020 season - MOTOR ACE PHILIPPINES INC. Motor Ace Philippines Inc., Established in 1996 in Cebu Philippines is a retailer of Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki and Kawasaki motorcycles. It now has 152 branches nationwide and growing. Motor Ace Philippines is also a leisure bike shop carrying BMW, Vespa, and KTM. Motor Ace is a part of the Borromeo Motoring Group spearheaded by Mr. Jonel Borromeo.
As the Company's corporate social responsibility and through the Motor Ace Racing Foundation. The organisation now introduces and supports Audax Philippines in bringing more locations in Visayas and Mindanao for cyclists to enjoy and experience. This being in line with our President and Team Captain Mr. Jonel Borromeo’s passion for sports and community building.
Audax Philippines will be another addition to Motor Ace Racing Foundations push to encourage Filipinos to practice and support Philippine sports and bring it not only to the cities but also to rural areas of the Philippines. The organisation has found the benefit of sports in health, community building and tourism.
The Motor Ace Racing Foundation has supported the first Filipina Olympic Marathoner, Mary Joy Tabal. OCR and Spartan athletes and teams. A youth football team, local volleyball and basketball teams and leagues. Currently it is also building the Dynamic HERB - Borromeo Sports complex, a multi sport complex in the South Road Properties in Cebu. With Phase 1, an artificial football field done. Phase 2 of the complex will be an indoor sports complex that will house Basketball, Volleyball and Futsal.
Given this new development in the Audax Philippines landscape, I am very happy to share the new and revised 2020 Audax Calendar. Thanks to Motor Ace Philippines Inc., we have added rides to new locations around the country. I am very excited with this new partnership and truly looking forward to bring the Audax to more destinations and cultivate that cycling culture of randonneuring and community-building. :)
Website will be updated with these new dates within the week. We will be opening registrations for some rides next week as well. Just like previous years, this is still subject to change (which rarely happens!) and a ride is deemed confirmed once registration is open for that particular ride.
