ENKANTIERRA - The "not-so-secret" Secret Checkpoint of Audax Batangas and the 130km Populaire

We are happy to announce the partnership of Audax Randonneurs Philippines with Enkantierra Nature Park!  Enkantierra Nature Park (Deka Holdings Inc.) is a model of sustainable ecotourism and community development in Sto. Tomas, Batangas.  They will be our "not-so-secret" Secret Checkpoint along the 130km Batangas Populaire route and the 200km Audax Batangas route.  With their support, they will have the checkpoint stocked up with refreshments and a standby-ambulance for any medical emergencies nearby.  When Enkantierra Nature Park learned about Audax Batangas, all they asked me was, "how can we support?".  It is always such a relief when a corporate sponsor approaches us and is open to any ideas on how they can directly support the community.  The "not-so-secret" Secret Checkpoint will be roughly at KM 118. *wink* Thank you, Enkantierra!

The routes for the 200km Audax and 130km Populaire in Batangas happening on January 27 have been posted ever since we opened registration.  These are also the exact same routes as last year's.  The secret checkpoint ensures that cyclists don't take the shortcut heading back to The Outlets as seen in the googlemap photos below of the 200km and 130km routes below.
