We have just concluded Audax Dumaguete 200km/300km + 100km Motor Ace Populaire.  Please review and check the below tentative results and let us know by February 10 of any comments/questions so we can double check from our end and do the necessary changes before we submit the results to Paris on February 11.  You can reach us at info@audax.ph.  Let us not spam the Facebook group/page of Audax Randonneurs Philippines.  Please note that the result reflects your elapsed time = scanned time at the finish minus the wave release time.  It doesn't reflect the elapsed time in your Strava or GPS devices.

This year's Audax Dumaguete brings us back to the same roads taken last year but with more exciting energy as we see our aspiring Paris Brest Paris Visayas and Mindanao-based randonneurs take one step closer to Paris.  However, this year's edition seemed more difficult with the relentless headwinds especially in the last 50km heading back to Dumaguete and the sun definitely made its presence felt as we reached midday.

Despite the tough day on the bike, the finish rate of 90% across categories shows the growing maturity on how to tackle such grueling distances on the bike.  The 200km record was broken by Francis Jordan Dayon, Estelito Hijalga, Jonathan Simbajon and Paul Edgar Gambong who clocked in 6 hours and 11 minutes by sheer solid teamwork from start to finish.  Matt Allanic of Team Motor Ace broke the 300km record by finishing the distance in 10 hours and 3 minutes.  Amazing show of cycling prowess by these gentlemen!  The course is quite scenic and green.  Top this with the warm locals and great LGU support, Audax Dumaguete is starting to be a favorite!

Thank you to everyone who showed up at the wee hours of the morning at Rizal Boulevard.  Thank you to Motor Ace for bringing the Audax in the Visayas.  Our heartfelt thanks to Sir Dondee Señeris for his initiative and for working with the local government units to ensure a safe ride for our cyclists.  Thank you to the entire Motor Ace crew and Audax PH crew headed by Mr. Ivee Cabahug and Ms. Jola Gonzales.  More rides to come!
