Audax Batangas and Populaire Route Details for March 2022

Both the Audax and Populaire in Batangas on the weekend of March 5-6 will start and finish from The Outlets inside the Lima Technology Center in Lipa, Batangas.  Just like all audax rides, the distance is not exact.  Allow around +/-5% allowance.  There might be a few minor errors but with the cue sheet, the map and the gpx file to be provided, one should be able to navigate through the route without a problem.  Navigation is an essential skill in randonneuring.  And when in doubt, you can always ask the friendly locals for the correct directions.

AUDAX BATANGAS 200KM ROUTE DETAILS:

Must finish within an elapsed time of 13 hours and 30 minutes (riding time and all stops)

Audax Batangas 200km route passes through 3 provinces: Batangas, Laguna and Quezon.  There will be 5 checkpoints:

1) ~49.8km Power Oil Gas Station in Tiaong, Quezon (cut-off time: 3 hours and 18 minutes from release time)

2) ~ 89.8km Caltex Gas Station/Hang Out Cafe in Rosario, Batangas (cut-off time: 5 hours and 57 minutes from release time)

3) ~ 120.4km Triple Seven Gas Station along the San Juan-Laiya Road (cut-off time: 7 hours and 59 minutes from release time)

4) ~139.4km Kainan sa Kabukiran along the Rosario-San Juan-Candelaria Road (cut-off time: 9 hours and 14 minutes)

5) Secret checkpoint along the Alaminos-Lipa Road (to ensure you don't take the shortcut via the Sto.Tomas-Alaminos Road)

2) ~64.6km Kainan sa Kabukiran along the Rosario-San Juan-Candelaria Road (cut-off time: 4 hours and 21 minutes from release time)

3) Secret checkpoint along the Alaminos-Lipa Road (to ensure you don't take the shortcut via the Sto.Tomas-Alaminos Road)
